The history of the Hacker started in 1417 in the place of the today's restaurant "Old Hacker House" (Alte Hackerhaus), located on Sendlinger road in Munich, Germany.
In 1793, the ancestor of the Pschorr dynasty of brewers, Joseph Pschorr, married brewer's daughter Maria Theresia Hacker and bought the Hacker Brewery from his father-in-law.
In 1834, Joseph Pschorr divided the brewing empire into equal shares for his sons: Matthias (Hacker Brewery) and Georg (Pschorr Brewery).
The two breweries merged again in 1972,
into Hacker-Pschorr Bräu AG.
At the present time, Hacker-Pschorr is the most modern breweries of Germany, exporting all over the world.
